Sports Information & Draws
All draws and sports information have now been updated and are complete (please see below for a digital copy). Due to a larger than expected number of entries please note that some minor adjustments have been made to the rules to accommodate marae participation. Please ensure all participants wear the appropriate coloured wristbands for their sport (to be collected a head of play from the Administration Table). Please remember “No wristband, no play”.
Hineraukatauri - Fair play award
At the completion of each game marae need to complete a section at the bottom of their scoresheet. Marae are asked to give their opposition a ranking of 3 for excellent, 2 for average, 1 for fair. This covers all sports and will be collated at the end of play to inform the winner of the Hineraukatauri - Fair play award. Please note: if this section is not completed, a score of 3 points will be automatically given to the opposition team.
Operating from 6pm to 10pm on Friday, Paraweka & Waitahupārae have the following kai available for sale outside the hall and gym:
• $5 white bait fritters
• $4 bacon & egg sammies
• $2 sausage sizzle
• $1 drinks.
Ngātokorua have the following kai available for sale on Saturday:
• Fry bread
• BBQ kai
• Candy floss.
Please bring some cash along whānau and support our marae with their kai stalls.
Para Kore & Rubbish
KMG 2017 is a zero-waste Para Kore event. Thanks to Amoa Hawira, we’ve arranged for each marae to have 1-2 Para Kore bins. These are to help encourage all marae to recycle throughout the event.
A central Para Kore main station will be set up on the field and marae are asked to use these facilities when sorting their recycling.
We encourage marae to take FULL responsibility for all of the rubbish produced on the field and in their area. Please bring general rubbish bags with you and remove at the completion of the games.
Local Food Bank Koha
As we approach the festive season we are encouraging whānau to bring a koha to contribute to the local food bank for their Xmas appeal. Please bring a can or non-perishable kai along so we can support whānau in need during Christmas. The food bank koha bin will be located near the staff room balcony on Saturday morning.
